Height: 34 inches (shockingly tall, says Dr. Morocco)
Head: As large as an average five-year-old’s. Bruised (see “Legs”).
Nose: Very, very runny.
Legs: Running, climbing (and causing many falls) everywhere.
Hands: Deft. As we discovered in Woodstock, Henry can complete a shape puzzle (fitting the elephant piece into the elephant spot) in seconds flat. We’re thinking of going pro.
Mouth: Constantly making words too numerous to count. We’ve had a verbal explosion these last couple of months, and he’s moved on to simple sentences like “Henry walk” and “More cheese.” Favorite word: A very nonchalant “no.”
Last weekend, Henry and I rendezvoused in Woodstock for a visit with Grandmas Kate and Beth. It was a quick trip, but a good one! I wanted to get more photos of Henry with his grandmas, but he’s hard to photograph these days because he’s constantly on the move.
A soggy day at a Woodstock park. What a beautiful town, though! Perfect for swinging.
Henry loved the luggage cart at the hotel, especially when Grandma Kate pushed him really fast (when Mama wasn’t looking).
Henry loves all the fallen leaves, taking detours whenever he can so he can swush through them. Last weekend, he “helped” Tom out with the first big raking of the fall.
This is Henry crawling into the leaf bags and pulling the leaves out.
I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve posted here — the entire summer has come and gone! I’ll try to post later with some photos of the past few months, but here are some more recent activities — an apple festival in Little Compton and Henry’s first haircut.
I know I’ve been promising walking footage for weeks now. Coming soon! I’m just trying to figure out how to upload stuff from our new camcorder (is that even what they’re called now?). In the meantime, I captured this today on the camera.
